School Programs
"Teaching creativity rather then imitation"
We provide K-6 enrichment programs, staff development workshops and gifted & talented student programs in Visual Arts.
The K-6 Visual Arts Enrichment Program is a NSW Creative Arts Syllabus based program designed for students and teachers in the classroom. The program provides teachers with the opportunity to increase their experience of visual arts by observing and participating in the learning sequences and provides valuable professional development.
The program is designed to inspire students with new and exciting techniques and provide opportunities for personal creative expression. Completed artworks are mounted to showcase student work and are suitable for presentation in a school art exhibition. A synopsis of teaching and learning strategies for each year group is supplied.
Classes are usually timetabled for a series of 3x one and a half hour (Yr 3-6) or one hour (K-2) lessons to provide the opportunity for skill development, experimentation and exploration of a theme in line with syllabus recommendations. Quality materials are purchased for the program and remain in the school so teachers have the opportunity to use them with their classes after the completion of the program.
